About this Event

Searching in the Spirit is a 5-day, overnight retreat for newly confirmed grade 7 youth (youth born in 2009 and entering Grade 8 in September 2022). All youth must be accompanied by adult leaders (age 19 years old or older). The minimum ratio of adult leaders to youth is 1 adult leader to 8 youth.

Searching in the Spirit provides youth (and their adult leaders accompanying them) with formation in discipleship and challenges the participants to live out their faith in everyday, real-life situations.  By combining practical skills, a faith perspective and spiritual development, the participants learn and grow in their faith through activities, presentations, games, skits, reflection, sharing and the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment.

Integral parts of this formation experience include: prayer, community-building, and outdoor recreation activities.

Most of all, it inspires the newly-Confirmed to continue on in their faith journey as they enter high school.

This retreat takes place at Camp Jubilee from August 29 to September 2.

Cost: $450 per person
