All Catholic single mothers are invited to a two-night retreat hosted by the Archdiocese of Vancouver in collaboration with Momentum. Mothers are welcome to attend this retreat with or without their children.
The retreat will be offered at Charis Camp in Chilliwack from Friday evening, May 24, to Sunday afternoon, May 26. The schedule will include programming and talks for mothers (childcare provided), family time, children’s activities, and time for Mass, Adoration, and Confession.
Momentum is an organization based in Quebec, founded by a Catholic single mother, with the aim to build a vibrant, faith-based community for single mothers. In partnership with the Archdiocese, this is their first in-person retreat outside of Quebec. Learn more about Momentum at momentummothers.org.

Camp Guidelines
- Charis Camp is a DRY camp (i.e. no alcohol or marijuana is permitted on the premises).
- Charis Camp is not responsible for any lost or stolen goods incurred at their facility.
- There is absolutely no cooking or barbequing on this site, as per Food Safe BC Regulation.
- Groups bringing youth or children must have adequate supervision. This includes one adult staying in each room for the night.
- The swimming pool is not available for access during our time at Charis Camp.
- No outside shoes are allowed in the lodge or chalet. We recommend bringing slippers or designated inside shoes. Bare feet or socks are also fine.
- Beddings, linens, and towels are NOT supplied. Please bring your own pillows, sleeping bags and towels.
- Quiet time is mandatory at 10 p.m. in the chalet as the staff reside below. Quiet time is 11 p.m. in the lodge.
- No pets of any kind are allowed on site.
