About this Event

Do you think becoming a saint is unlikely?
That the Saints are historical people who never sinned, were thin, and had perfect skin?
That if you ever get discouraged, depressed, or experience mental health struggles, the Saints could never relate to you?

Have you heard of these saints: St. Matthew Le Van Gam (Vietnam), St. Mark Ji Tianxiang (China), St. Magdalena Son So-Byok (Korea), Bl. Peter Kibe (Japan), or St. Anna Wang (China)?

Holy Name of Jesus Parish is opening its doors to anyone interested in an inspiring talk for the season of Pentecost: “Make Disciples of All Nations: How the Diversity of the Saints Invites Us to be Filled With the Spirit” by Meg Hunter-Kilmer (USA) – traveling speaker, author of “Saints Around the World,” and self-described “hobo for Christ.”

Join Meg as she shares riveting details about the lives and adventures of the saints including those named above and more, followed by 30 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration with praise and worship music, then a free snack to take home!

This event is open to all ages, especially young adults who want to hear really cool stories about amazing Catholic Saints who aren’t well-known in Vancouver yet.

7:00 PM Talk
8:00 PM Adoration
8:30 PM Snacks

About the Speaker:
Meg Hunter-Kilmer (www.piercedhands.com) is a speaker, author of the children’s book, “Saints Around the World,” and hobo for Christ. After two degrees in theology and five years of teaching religion in the United States, she felt God's calling to follow Him in a more literal way, so Meg quit her job, packed everything into her car, and hit the road. Since June 2012, Meg has been a hobo for the Kingdom, traveling the country and speaking to anyone who will listen about the goodness of God, Catholic apologetics, Christian morality, and the life of prayer.
