About this Event

"Jesus told us: 'Learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart' (Mt 11:29). The lives of the saints too are examples to be imitated. Saint Paul explicitly says this: 'Be imitators of me!' (1 Cor 4:16). By his eloquent silence, Saint Joseph says the same" (Patris Corde).

As we draw near the closing of the Year of Saint Joseph and continue to increase our devotion to the foster father of Jesus, we would like to invite you to join us in prayer.

On November 30, 2021, we will begin praying a Novena to Saint Joseph as a way of preparing for the Act of Consecration on December 8, 2021, the closing of the Year of Saint Joseph.

As you register for the novena you will receive daily messages with short video reflections to prayerfully prepare for the Consecration. The reflections will be focusing on the Seven Joys of St. Joseph paired with his attributes as highlighted in Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter Patris Corde. This is an opportunity for each of us, at the beginning of the Advent season, to journey with St. Joseph through the most joyous moments of his life.

As part of the Novena we are very excited to welcome Cardinal Antonio Louis Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, who will be offering a live Advent Reflection with Saint Joseph, on the 5th day of our Novena.

Lastly we invite all of you to join Archbishop Michael for the Mass of closing of the Year of Saint Joseph on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 2021 at 5:10 PM at Holy Rosary Cathedral. Archbishop Michael will lead us as we make our personal Consecration to Saint Joseph. All are welcome.

A Certificate of Consecration will be emailed to all who will pray the Novena and make the Act of Consecration.

Saint Joseph, pray for us.
