The Catholic Church believes that we, as parents are the primary educators of our children. Be a part of the Domestic Church or, in Latin, "Ecclesia Domestica." We invite your family to encounter the love of Christ on a daily basis - at home, and foster a personal encounter with Christ. Take part in a family-friendly Mass reading preparation through a simple Lectio Divina based on the Sunday Gospel readings.
The program provides a ready-made, on-demand program that is easy to follow and engages all ages to "Read, Reflect, Respond, Rest and make Resolutions" in their lives to live out God's word. Worksheets with scripture memory verses and colouring pages designed for K-7 and journaling pages have been created for teens & adults. The short yet effective sessions are designed with kids in mind; this program is a great tool for Sunday Gospel Mass preparation and/or revisiting and review.
Children will spend the week prior focusing on the upcoming Gospel reading. Enter into the life of Jesus by clicking on the scripture audio guides and discuss God's word as a family. This can be done in the car, at home as a morning reflection, during afternoon quiet time, during dinner preparation, or during bedtime prayers.
Bonus-guided prayer meditations encourage children to use their imaginations. Through guided imagery and relaxation techniques, they are led to walk with and relate to Jesus in a more personal and contemplative way.
