About this Event
Pope Francis has challenged everyone to think about their brothers and sisters in a new way. Many of our brothers and sisters are experiencing profound loneliness and isolation. The Spiritual Care Training Program provides one way to answer the call of reaching out to our brothers and sisters who are suffering right now and need support and expressions of care and love.
If you feel called to answer this challenge, the Spiritual Care Training Program offers an opportunity for you to grow while you serve people in your parish community who may be in need. This 9-week training course teaches skills in how to make yourself more available to seniors and others who can benefit from your genuine concern and presence in their lives. Some of the topics covered include aging, communication, boundaries, and self-care. For more information about the course, visit the Catholic Health Association of BC’s website.
