Message from Therapist

My mission is to support people struggling with unwanted sexual behaviour including pornography use. I know the feelings of disappointment and guilt when you repeatedly promise yourself “this is the last time” and consistently break that promise. I know how it feels to have this “secret” part of your life you do not share with others. I know what it is like for you and your spouse to feel more like roommates than intimate partners. Often, unwanted behaviour can be a result of deeper issues which can include Anxiety or Depression. I will walk with you as we discover the underlying causes of your unwanted patterns and help you meet your goals.

Bio

After struggling with an addiction to pornography for two-decades, Bryan found the healing and freedom he deeply desired with the help of a wonderful Catholic counsellor. Since 2009 Bryan has dedicated his education and clinical work toward helping others experience this same freedom. “For me, the pornography use was being fueled by the emotional wounds I carried, it was a way to numb myself in times of discomfort.” Bryan earned his master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University and has engaged in additional training through the American Association for Sex Addiction Therapists. Bryan also has specialized training for supporting those struggling with Anxiety and Depression. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Bryan currently operates his Counselling Practice in Chilliwack and also offers video counselling.
